!
It's gonna be a bright sunshiny day.....
Can you feel it??!! We are definitely only a few days away from what the world classifies as the Christmas holiday. There are Christmas carols, pretty lights , a whole lotta shoppin' goin on, and plenty of folks getting out of town!
Well let me correct that statement...a whole lot of folks already gone out of town.In the days leading up to the holiday that equals one thing for me (someone not lucky enough to travel further south for a least one week) LESS TRAFFIC------AMEN!!!!!
I usually rant, rave, and grouse about my usual
adventures of traveling to and from work (all about as exciting as watching traffic move---slowly), but today I can honestly say : it was actually a pleasure to drive this morning. I got to keep more of my hair
( as I didn't have to resort to pulling out any as the driver of the car ahead of me cuts me off from the far left lane in favor of getting off the exit --which by the way is to the far extreme right of the expressway).
I got to keep more of my nails instead of biting of the remaining ones that I have.(This usually happens as I watch the driver of the hotrod in back of me arriving from 6 miles away to my rear bumper---usually to the tune of 100 m.p.h.). I also didn't have to resort to drinking a gallon of water to replace that which I have sweated out
(this usually occurs when I almost side swiped by drivers getting within a hair of my door when suddenly trying to switch lanes).
I actually got to work in record time. I even had the chance to get breakfast(definitely a good thing!)
Even the weather cooperated : It was sunny, and even a bit warm ( well 50 is definitely warmer than 22 !) I've also been informed (thanks Allison) that after today the sun will start heading back north of the equator and that equals us going back toward spring and summer.(ahhh warmer weather
) all in all I can say ..........
IT WAS A GOOD DAY!!!!
Hope yours was as good! Peace out!!!
I hear ya! The past week's driving was SO easy. Not the norm. And I don't even work outside the home, but I have to drive my hubby to work...
